It is with pleasure we invite you to take part in and help support this global business development initiative. The United Nations recently unveiled a 15-year global development plan emphasizing the Role the Business Sector will play in moving humankind forward economically and socially. The UN’s global development plan is based on The 17 SDGs (17 Sustainable Development Goals) . It’s important to know all 193 UN Member Nations helped develop the 17 SDGs; and, agreed to achieve them by 2030. Consequently, there’s tremendous room for small to large Business Sector companies to participate offering services, products, and/or expertise.
The 17 SDGs encompass numerous areas for your company to join the UN’s humanity-building program:
- Clean Water-Land, Environment
- Continuity of Operations
- Cyber Security
- Business, Jobs, and Economic Growth
- Gender, Diversity, and Equality
- Green Technology; Affordable, Clean, Renewable Energy
- ICT Innovation and Infrastructure for Business, Government and Civil Society
- Social Media to Enable Sustainability
- STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Math); Health
- ICT4D and Sustainable Cities and Communities
I’m pleased to let you know Ralph Kader, Chief of UN Peacekeeping, retired, will be working closely with AIT to support the UN and its Member States in achieving these Goals. As Chief of UN Peacekeeping, Ralph literally has a world of knowledge, and contacts. Please read Ralph’s excellent, nearby article on InfoSec to see the importance he places upon CyberSec in global initiatives and events.
As AIT has for the last 30 years, it will continue to introduce Business Executives, their companies, and their solutions to the UN and its Member Nations via the large meetings, breakfasts and luncheons it organizes with the UN. For example, AIT recently sponsored the Special UN Luncheon, and provided Keynote Presenters, to complement the roll-out of the UN’s 17 SDGs. The goal, as always, was to help the Business and UN Sectors learn more about each others needs and solutions, while working together to improve global economic and social conditions.
We’ll continue to count on and invite our valued colleagues to bring their solutions and advice to the forefront. The world needs your products and services to move forward… and achieving the world’s needs will grow your business!
